A trip down memory lane today, this was my all time favorite breakfast cereal as a kid and I thought they had stopped making it, but when I was shopping the other day I saw this box and had to buy it, I guess it must be coming back, it has pretty cool retro packaging too.

There is this old abandoned building down Claygate Lane which I run past, It is mostly fenced off but I managed to take this picture of this abandoned desk lying in the bushes next to it through the fence and I was really happy with it.

I really like taking photos of textures as even the most simple of subjects can look a lot more interesting if you capture the textures and how they are affected by lights and darks. Here are 2 photos of some textures, some wooden planks where the grains of wood are really pronounced and a brick wall where the mortar has been worn away leaving a very rough brick face, I also love the colours in this brickwork. Both are pretty interesting in my opinion.

I spent pretty much the whole of Monday sitting infront of my computer working so when it came to about 10pm and I hadn't taken a picture of anything I thought I might as well take a picture of what I had been staring at all day.

Church in East Molesey at night, only taken on my iphone so I would like to go back and re-take this shot as I really liked the up-lighting of the church and the shadows that were cast upon it by the trees in the foreground.

NCP car park in kingston, I really liked the way the yellow of the sign looked and the way the light seeped onto the building behind. The yellowness of the sign did not come out as I wanted, as it has been bleached by the backlight of the sign, but the light seepage onto the building came out reasonably well.
This might be one I go back and retake at a later date.

David Hockney inspired joiner test of the shed in my back garden, took the photo in the back garden as I didnt want to stand out in the street taking loads of photos of something. I was pretty pleased with this test and enjoyed it and I think I might try it out again sometime.

Tea in an orange mug, not the best photo, but I was struggling for inspiration/motivation today.
Did the classic focus of the image in colour on a b&w background.

Giggs Hill green on Portsmouth Road near Thames Ditton and Surbiton. Another attempt at hdr, it was a really cloudy day with the grey clouds hiding the sun and I had a feeling the sky would look good as a hdr, I am pretty pleased with the overall result.
I took quite a few photos I was pleased with this day, here are some of the others.

Went to London to meet with my brother and whist I was there I took some photos, I was pretty pleased with most of them but I think this was my favorite as it shows an iconic London image but at the same time shows the grimy side of London.

Had a go at a hdr image, im not usually a fan but in this instance I think it worked quite well, mainly because I tried to keep it quite subtle. Personally I really liked the contrasts between the sky, the blue of the netting and the brickwork.
